Pattern polled UK online shoppers in early 2021 to understand how lockdown has changed their shopping habits and expectations, as well as their attitudes to Amazon.
This report shares the topline findings from that research. Highlights include:
- 54% of UK online shoppers bought more online in 2020 than previously;
- Evidence that the shift to online will not decline as lockdown ends - 89% of shoppers expect to spend the same or more on non-food online shopping in 2021 as 2020;
- 93% of UK online shoppers purchased from Amazon in 2020 and 50% have access to an Amazon Prime account;
- Amazon will continue to be one of the big winners from lockdown - 30% of shoppers expect to spend more with Amazon in 2021 than 2020, and 58% will spend the same as the previous year.
